The Recycle More program offers FREE curbside pickup of e-waste, metal appliances/large metal items, bagged clothing & shoes, batteries*, fluorescent bulbs/tubes*, and cooking oil.
We collect many items for recycling in addition to what you can put in your recycling cart. Take a look at the items we accept, and fill out a Pickup Request Form to schedule your free pickup.
Please do not put any of these items in your blue recycling cart. Recycle More curbside pickups are by appointment only.

Batteries*
There is no standalone pickup of batteries. A battery pickup must be combined with another Recycle More pickup. All household rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries are accepted — no business-generated batteries allowed. Follow the steps below to properly recycle:
- Tape the positive (+) terminal of each battery.
- Place your old batteries in a sealed, clear plastic bag.
- Place the clear bag of batteries at the curb with your other Recycle More items.
Just have batteries? See our list of single-use battery drop-off locations. Car batteries are not accepted – but you can drop them off at no charge at these car battery drop-off locations.
Fluorescent bulbs and tubes*
- Must be placed in a box for pickup — no loose bulbs or tubes. Reuse a box that you have, or contact us below or at 707-255-5200 if you need a box for your tubes. You can reuse any box for the CFL bulbs.
- Residents may set out compact fluorescent bulbs and tubes of up to 4 ft. in length. Tubes over 4′ must be brought to the Hazardous Waste Facility.
- Businesses must call 1-800-984-9661 for an appointment to bring bulbs and tubes to the Hazardous Waste Facility.
* Please note: batteries and fluorescent light pick ups are for residential customers only. Commercial customers should make an appointment at the Household Hazardous Waste facility for proper disposal of said materials.
